Research Panel for Company and Securities Law

Research PanelsThe Research Panel for Company and Securities Law is headed by Carl Svernlöv, LL.D., Attorney-at-law.

The research panel arranges the following recurrent conferences and seminars:

  • a two-day conference for doctoral students in the field of company and securities law,
  • a one-day conference for researchers and practising lawyers,
  • evening seminars for researchers and practising lawyers.

Research projects are at present being conducted within the Panel by Catarina af Sandeberg, LL.D. (Stockholm University), Gustaf Sjöberg, LL.D. (Stockholm University), Rolf Skog, Adjunct Professor (Stockholm University), Lic. Econ. and Attorney-at-law, and consultant Karin Wallin-Norman, Doctoral Student. The Centre is currently working on the following projects:

  • Whole-day seminar, “Shareholders’ rights”.
    Co-ordinator: Carl Svernlöv.
  • Seminar on proposals concerning compulsory purchase, with Gustaf Sjöberg.
  • Seminar on discharge from liability, taking Carl Svernlöv’s thesis as its starting point.

The research panel is a constituent part of a Scandinavian network of researchers in the field of company and securities law. Every second year the network organises a large scientific conference at the Århus School of Economics, Department of Law. The representatives of the network also meet at a two-day seminar.
