The Special committee

OrganisationThe Special Committee numbers between two and five members, at least two of whom have academic qualifications. The members are appointed by the Board of Directors.

The Special Committee is particularly responsible for

  • initiatives concerning funding of the Centre’s activities,
  • co-ordination of the scholarly activity of the Research Panels,
  • initiation and co-ordination of research and research projects within the framework of the Centre, the conduct of research in partnership with the community at large, its focus on vital issues of a legal nature and the basing of research on partnership between representatives of different legal disciplines and also on an interdisciplinary approach for issues needing to be studied in a more manifold light,
  • the dissemination of information concerning research and research findings within and beyond the academic community,
  • the promotion of international contacts and co-operation.

Within certain limits, the Special Committee decides matters concerning seminar activities and projects, as well as publications in the Centre’s name.
